Flu Vaccines & Covid Vaccine Booster

Flu vaccines are available now, protect yourselves this winter. Please ring reception to arrange an appointment.
Vaccines are fully funded:

• You are 65 years and over
• You are pregnant
• Adults and Children who have a chronic health condition
• Māori and Pacific peoples aged 55 to 64 years

The Ministry of Health has now extended the free Flu vaccine to include children aged between 3 and 12 years old as of 1st July 2022

Non-funded vaccines cost $25 for registered adults and children
Non-funded vaccines cost $36 for non-registered patients

In addition to the current Covid Vaccine information the Ministry has extended the recommendation for the second booster to include:

• all people aged over 50 years
• health, aged care, and disability workers aged over 30 years

Remember, Immunisation is the best way to protect our communities and Whanau from infection and serious illness. Indications show a resurgence of respiratory viruses, and vaccination against the Influenza virus it is highly recommended.

Before you visit:


Telephone consultations and face to face consultations are still available
Please phone 03 315 6328 for an appointment.
When phoning for an appointment, please tell the receptionist if you have any respiratory symptoms:
new or worsening cough
sore throat
shortness of breath sneezing and runny nose
loss of sense of smell or altered sense of taste, or a fever
headache
contact with person who may have been exposed to COVID

When you visit:

We politely request you still wear a mask if you display any resipratoy symptoms, this helps to keep the wider community safe.
You may still be asked to be seen via th Ambulance bay if there is any doubt on the type of infection you may have.

Continue to practice social distancing

Covid vaccinations are still available.
Please call the Health centre to arrange a day and time for your vaccine.
